There was a time sports in India were highly dominated by men. A veteran hockey player named Kabir Khan decides to coach arrogant and divided women’s Indian Hokey Team and encourages them to become the world champions. This film is all about willpower, hard work and unity.
Lagaan is an epic sports drama set around the time when India was under the British rule. It is a story about a man, Bhuvan, who leads his team comprising of fellow villagers to win against the experienced and trained team of Britishers in the game of cricket.
6. Rang De Basanti:
It is a story about the misled Indian youth. This film tries to ignite patriotism among the Indian youth by displaying the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The aim of the movie was to take us back to the time of British India and make us realize that toddy’s independent India is because of those freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives.
7. 3 Idiots:
This film is produced for those parents who force their children to follow the career of their choice and not of child’s own choice. The film taught us the most important lesson of our lives; educate yourself to improve your abilities, not to be successful because once you are able, success will come along at any circumstances.
8. Mary Kom:
This film is a real story of a women boxer from Manipur. She went on to become the world champion inspiring many young girls all across India. It is about her journey to success that included her struggles, hard work and diligence to fight back.
9. Taare Zameen Par:
It is one of the most beautiful inspirational films Bollywood has given us to learn from. It teaches us the most important fact that not all the children are alike and each one of them have their own unique skills and qualities.
The film is a motivational sports drama, about a young boy who is deaf and mute. He is a big fan of cricket and aspires to become a fast bowler. The film narrates his journey to get selected in the Indian Cricket Team through a lot of struggle and hard work.
