Must Watch Top 10 Bollywood Films

Film city has given us many movies to remember. But there are some movies which we have not seen and should see. These films were and are the greatest hits of their times.

1. Mughal-e-Azam:

Great and a must watch film, is a love story directed by K. Asif in 1960. This was epic Indian historical drama film. Madhubala, Dilip Kumar, Prithviraj Kapoor and Durga Khote starred this film was a love affair between Mughal Prince Salim and Anarkali, a court dancer. Emperor Akbar, Salim’s father, criticizes their relationship, which leads to a war between Akbar and Salim. But you should see the end.

2. Mother India:

This film is based on a poor village woman named Radha, who in the absence of her husband, struggles to raise her sons and survive against a wily money-lender along with many troubles. Despite her sufferings, she sets a goddess-like moral example of an ideal Indian woman. This epic Indian film was directed by Mehboob Khan.

3. Guide:

Guide was an Indian romantic drama film, released in the year 1965. This Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman starred film was directed by Vijay Anand. A tourist guide (Dev Anand) meets an unhappy married woman (Waheeda Rehman) who wants to end up her life because of her husband (Kishore Sahu) but being a good dancer, after being motivated by the guide, takes up dancing. With his motivation, she becomes a successful dancer but success corrupts the man’s mind.

4. Taal:

An award winning film ‘Taal’ was enacted by Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Khanna, Amrish Puri and Alok Nath. Under the direction of Subhash Ghai the film became very famous. Manav (Akshay Khanna) visits India and meets Mansi (Aishwarya Rai), the daughter of a singer, Tarababu (Alok Nath). They both love each other and her dad approves of Manav. But Manav’s family opposes and Mansi decides to leave him and move on. But the story does not end here, to know all the twists and turns watch the movie.

5. Rang De Basanti:

Rakeyshe Omprakash Mehra’s film is an Indian drama. The core movie started when Sue (British actress Alice Patten) selects a few college students (Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth Narayan and Atul Kulkarni) to portray various Indian freedom fighters in her film, she unknowingly awakens their patriotism. The emotional and mental process turns them into rebels for a cause. R. Madhvan is also seen in a lead role.

6. Dil Chahta Hai:

Three friends (Aamir Khan, Akshay Khanna and Saif Ali Khan) who shared a deep bond during their friendship. But are now separated due to their different approaches towards relationships. Akash (Aamir) goes to Australia, Sameer (Saif) gets busy wooing a girl and Siddharth (Akshay) devotes himself to art. But by the end of the film they all patched up. Farhan Akhtar wrote and directed the film to teach us #friendshipgoals.

7. Veer Zaara:

Love blooms between Indian Pilot Veer (Shah Rukh Khan) and a Pakistani girl, Zaara (Preeti Zinta). As Veer spends his years in a Pakistani prison, Zaara considers him to be dead and lives her entire life in his village in India. But one day she realizes that he is alive and they both reunite. Yash Chopra directed this great love story under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

8. Taare Zameen Par:

Darsheel Safary and Aamir Khan starred this film was directed by Aamir Khan himself. Ishaan (Darsheel) not being a bright student in school was sent to the boarding school. He cannot seem to get anything right in his boarding school. Soon, a new art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan), comes to his rescue and helps the dyslexic student to discover his hidden potential.

9. Queen:

Rani (Kangana Ranaut), a 24-year-old homely girl, decides to go on her honeymoon alone when her fiancé (Rajkummar Rao) calls off their wedding just before the wedding day because of her being too desi. Travelling around Europe, she finds joy, makes friends and gains new-found independence and confidence. Vikas Bahl directed this today’s time film.

10. 3 Idiots:

College friends Farhan (R. Madhvan) and Raju (Shrman Joshi) form a great bond with Rancho (Aamir Khan) due to his positive approach towards life. Rancho teaches them to love what they do and not to take it as a burden. Years later, a bet gives them a chance to look for their long-lost friend Rancho whose existence seems rather elusive. This Rajkumar Hirani directed film won many awards and hearts of the audience.
